Android Virtual Machine (AVD) Manager Installation and Configuration

To install AVD Manager

1. get the Android SDK http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html

2. unzip to target installation folder and run ./tools/android to launch AVD Manager

3. Follow the steps in SDK Readme.txt and install the required Platform and API packages

To configure emulator

1. In SDK Manager, select Tools > Manage AVDs

2. select Device Definitions > New Device, fill out the device configuration according to your target device.

3. then click the Create AVD button, select target Android version. If it prompt "No target selected", go back to SDK Manager to install the package.
